WHAT WE DO AND WHY!

OUR HISTORY

Southern Paw Partners, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization that was established to raise much needed funding for Midlands area animal rescue and welfare efforts. Through the operation of our thrift store, Thrifty Paws Boutique (formerly St. Paws Thrift Store – West Columbia,) we have donated over $135,000 to over 37 different animal rescue organizations and individual animal welfare cases. In addition, we are unique in our mission in that we donate to multiple qualifying organizations as opposed to only being associated with one group. Our organization was founded by Teresa Smith, our executive director.

THRIFT STORE

Our charitable thrift store accepts gently used and new merchandise donations. Items are then sold and the proceeds are distributed to qualifying animal rescue and welfare groups (and individual cases) via an application process throughout the year.

PAW AWARDS

Monetary donations and sales proceeds from our thrift store enable us to issue grants to deserving animal rescue and welfare efforts. Our grants are called “PAW Awards.” PAW stands for “Promoting Animal Welfare.” Grants are typically issued on a quarterly basis.
